A big congratulations to Connor, who today was awarded a Kiwanis Award for his outstanding citizenship and attitude towards his learning!

This is a very special award to receive and I am sure you will all agree that it couldn't have gone to anyone more deserving. Connor is an enthusiastic member of our class and is always spotted working hard. So well done to you, Connor; we all look forward to seeing what book is sitting in the library, esspecially chosen by you!

We are not only smiling because the sun came out, but we are happy because we worked super hard  and were awarded Mathletics Class of the Week at todays assembly!!
Mathletics is a motivating and fun way to improve your math skills, so make sure you all keep working towards those certificates by working on the areas that you have not quite mastered yet!

But for now, Woohoo, it is Friday!! So relax and enjoy your weekend everyboy.  To those playing sport this weekend- play hard, but play fair and don't forget to let us know how you get on! :)

Well done to Rosalie who recently got her Science Badge for Zoology!

She is not the only one; several other members of our class are keen scientists working towards getting a science badge also. So, who are you all, and can you tell us what it involves to get your badge? :)

William, Gemma and Trinity  have taken off on holiday with their families to different parts of the world! Gemma is in England, William is in America and Trinity is in Australia! Even though we are missing them being in class with us, we have been really enjoying keeping in contact with them and hearing about all the exciting and interesting places they are visiting!! Here we are reading a postcard from Trinity and the other photo was taken after trying to skype William as we took a photo to send to Gemma. Isn't technology a great way to keep in touch with others??

The value of the week is Courtesy. Room 7 decided that courtesy is all about treating others nicely, showing respect and being polite. How do you show courtesy to the people around you??

 

At the end of Term 1, Room 7 & 8 were responsible for putting together an End of Term Assembly.

It was based on School Camp at Aongatete Lodge.

We all felt super nervous being in front of the whole school, but we did really well and we all had lots of fun!!
